UAE University and the College of Information Technology - Al Ain, UAE

The new building for the College of Information Technology at the United Arab Emirates University in Al Ain was designed by KEO International Consultants to take advantage of light. The basic design used the clear air of the desery and the strong shadows that are produced during the day to accent the architecture. As the interior and exterior lighting consultant, we used light to reveal the architectural shapes in areas not reached by the sun and after dark. With such dramatic architectural forms, architectural lighting plays a role in building illusions from the moment of arrival at the site to the experience of the College's "Main Street."
