Tamarack
Beckley, West Virginia
Under the West Virginia Parkways Economic Development Authority, the Governor of West Virginia commissioned a unique state facility to promote and market their state's artists, craftspeople, and the art and craft product. Located at the Beckley exit on the West Virginia Turnpike, the new facility includes individual demonstration areas for each art and craft type (from painting to pottery to furniture), galleries and sales space. A theatre/auditorium serves performance artists but is also tied, through video links, to each of the demonstration art areas. In addition, promotional film and video presentations of all types can be offered in this theatre-style environment.
