Musical Arts Center - Annex
Indiana University
Bloomington, Indiana
When the Musical Arts Center was opened in 1972, th focus was on the Opera Hall. Other needs, such as Recital Halls and teaching facilities were wedged in around the large German-style Opera Hall. In 1990, the University reassigned the Old University High School building, next to the M.A.C., to the School of Music. The renovated annex includes two new Recital Halls, a major new music library, listening rooms, practice rooms, teaching facilities, instrument storage, and an instrument repair area.
