Lied Performing Arts Center
University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas
With a generous donation of ten million dollars from the Miller Lied Foundation, the University of Kansas created a new professional performing arts center to host a full range of national and international touring productions. This 2,200 seat hall is a modern multi-purpose performance facility that is designed to support Symphonic Music, Ballet, and Dramatic Productions with efficient conversion between events. The two balcony design allows the facility to offer smaller events by closure of individual balconies to reduce seating. The lobby is designed to support entertainment and a full range of catered parties and receptions. The center has been very successful, seeing more than 270 event days each year.
