Allegan Performing Arts Center
Allegan, Michigan
Dr. John VanNiewenhuyzen, former Superintendent of Allegan Public Schools, welcomes you to the Allegan Performing Arts Center. Over the past 15 years, Michigan has found a partnership that has benefitted both communities and education throughout the state. In this latest edition of a community performing arts center being built on high school campus property, a new era of theatre and education has been born. This 960 seat multi-purpose performing arts center includes a full orchestra pit with provisions for a future mechanical lift, full fly loft and orchestra shell, along with associated music and drama rehearsal rooms. Backstage support includes scene shop, green room, and large and small dressing rooms with self-contained makeup and costume storage.
This project was recognized in 2003 by the ASHRAE. See article here.
