As a portion of its Distinguished Building Awards program for the year 2000, the Grand Valley (Michigan) chapter of the American Institute of Architects has recognized Mona Shores High School with an Honor Award. This is one of only four awards given. There were fourteen other entrants competinng for this prestigious honor.
